Veteran David Abruzzi Registered in West Virginia
The West Virginia Board of Architects reciprocally registered Lt. Col. David Abruzzi (USAF, Retired) to practice on December 19, 2022. Abruzzi chose West Virginia as his state of residence after a long career in the United State Air Force with tours in Saudia Arabia, Korea, and Germany, He has worked at the Pentagon and particularly in the area of Defense Threat Reduction at military installations throughout the world. In semi-retirement, Abruzzi focuses on historic preservation, serving on the Historic Landmarks Commission for the town of Bath, WV and has opened Cacapon Preservation Solutions, LLC to assist others with navigating the process of protecting and preserving historic structures. Thank you for your long service to the United States, and welcome to West Virginia.
- Fee Waivers - Effective July 1, 2020, waivers of initial licensing fees are available to military families and low-income individuals. More information is available under the Architects tab and in the forms and fee schedule.
- Fee for Verification of Certification - As a result of rule changes effective July 1, 2020, architects requesting a paper verification of certification from the Board will be charged a $25.00 fee. Free electronic verifications are still available under "License Lookup" under the Quicklinks section on the Board's homepage.
